Make People Smile

After seeing the video of Juan I showed it too my girlfriend who was just as touched by it as me. We had to go do this!!!

We live in Delft and every winter there’s a “Light night”, where the big Christmas tree is being lit on the market square. A lot of people on the move and a great atmosphere to let people experience the Free hugs movement.

After making our signs we went to the center, unfortunately it was raining. It was quit scary at first to get started but we just did it.

It was absolutely amazing; people getting of their bikes for a hug, little childeren with their parents, entire families for a group hug and it didnt seem to matter what kind of “person” wanted a hug. Ofcourse not every body wanted an hug but everyone who saw us SMILED.

And that was the thing that touched me the most, on a normal day people just pass each other whitout the smallest of reaction. This night was different .

Afterwards we couldn’t stop smiling ourselves!
